We stayed at Aden Motel for 4 nights from 3 Dec to 7 Dec 2016. This was our southmost point of our trip and was our gateway to Milford Sound.

Review of Aden Motel
Our 9th accommodation during our 2 month NZ road trip. We stayed here for 4 nights in a one-bedroom unit in early-Dec.
There are two rows of units - one faces the garden (mostly Studio) while the other is in the same stretch as the reception. Ours was located in the latter. Our room somehow felt really comfy - there's a double bed in the room with a single bed just outside. The kitchen gives what we needed - cutlery, stovetop, microwave and a mini-fridge. As for the bathroom, it's thankfully spanking new. I'm guessing they just refurbished recently.
The shared facilities include a laundry room and a playground (with quite a few cobwebs). It's found in a quiet location that's just a 5 min walk away from Lake Te Anau though it takes just a little longer (10min) to walk to town.
The lady at the recep was jovial, accommodative and was real nice to talk to. In fact, she really loves talking :) The only hitch of our entire stay was when our room was not cleared one day when we left our room just around 11am.
