Here's my review of Asure Aspiring Court Motel. We stayed for 3 nights from 21 Nov to 24 Nov 2016 on our way toward Queenstown.

Review of Aspiring Court Motel
Our 6th accommodation during our 2 month NZ road trip. We stayed here for 3 nights in late-November. Overall, this was a pleasant place to stay.
We were greeted by a very friendly owner who was able to provide us a lovely and very spacious one-bedroom unit. There were two single beds in the room and one double + one single in the living space. Kitchen facilities are up to scratch - you get a stove top, microwave, sink, cutlery, etc.
There are plenty of facilities in the motel's common area too. The huge garden at the back really got our kids running to their heart's content. At the reception, you can buy canned food if need be and there's ample space for the folks in the adjacent camper van park area to lounge in, which we also had access to. Only thing is there were some blackflies we had to contend with though they can be kept at bay as they stick to the windows.
Location-wise, it's right in the heart of Haast, though it's not saying too much 'cos Haast is a generally small town and there aren't too many restaurants and stores in the vicinity.
